Kevin & Ingrid's Door County Wedding
Kevin and Ingrid's Door County Wedding
Kevin and Ingrid's Door County Wedding provided a magnificent backdrop for a very intimate wedding. The weather was unseasonably warm, with no wind (very unusual for Door County in early May). Blue skies, puffy white clouds, the perfect wedding day!
The couple choose to have their first glance of each other at The Ridges Sanctuary in Bailey's Harbor, a beautiful hiking path with lush greenery, an old school house, as well as a light house; located on the shores of Lake Michigan.
Kevin said he was looking forward to getting married since he was six years old. Yes, that was six years old. When he met Ingrid, he knew she was the one, they were meant to be, both have a deep faith in God, love for each other, family, and friends.
The setting for the ceremony was at Boynton Chapel; a property of Lawrence University. Boynton Chapel sits on the shore of Lake Michigan in Bailey's Harbor. It was built in the style of the late 12th Century Norwegian Stave Church. It was built on the property of a summer residence between 1939-1947.
The ceremony was performed by a minister who Kevin has know forever, it was one of the most touching ceremonies we have had the pleasure of witnessing. The minister had interviewed both mother's; asking what advice they would give to their children, needless to say, there were a few tears shed.
Of course, plenty of photos were taken on the beautiful wooded grounds of Boynton Chapel. Once photos were complete the party continued at another great Door County locaiton; The Log Den. Stories were shared, toast were given, laughs were shared. It was a day to remember.
Kevin and Ingrid we wish you as much happiness and love as your hearts can hold!
Thank you for allowing us to create your beautiful memories.
